In addition, he has extensive experience in liability and insurance law, disputes between business partners and associates, as well as on commercial contracts, acquisitions of commercial funds and share transfers, as well as commercial contracts such as distribution, agency, execution and attachment law, as well as an interest in procedural law and (corporate) criminal law.

He mainly assists entrepreneurs (commercial enterprises and liberal professions) as well as private individuals.

Jean Cloquet joined MDP in 2018 after 17 years in a Ghent firm, mainly active in commercial and corporate law. He has been a member of the Ghent Bar since 1995. He obtained his law degree from Ghent University in 1995.

He has been a deputy judge at the Commercial Court Ghent, Ghent Division, since 1 December 2013.
